Manager of Faculty Appointments, Promotion, and Tenure

Donna Boyd is the Manager of Faculty Appointments, Promotion, and Tenure for the Office of the Faculty Affairs Administration, where her primary duties are maintaining faculty appointments in SAP and dFac, creating and assigning distinguished professorships to faculty, providing dFac training, and managing the Provost’s Appointment, Tenure and Promotion committee meetings. She began working at Duke in 1999 for the University Development Office as a staff assistant for two major gift officers and the director. She later had the opportunity to work in the John Hope Franklin Center where she was the program coordinator for the Franklin Humanities Institute. There she worked with assisting the Faculty Fellows and Directors planning their interdisciplinary programming and special events. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently enrolled in the Graduate Liberal Studies Program, here at Duke.
