Assistant Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs Administration

Damaris Murry is the Assistant Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs Administration. In her role, Damaris oversees all Provost-area activities related to appointments, promotion and tenure (APT), professorships, faculty HR records; and faculty data systems and analysis, which includes Scholars@Duke and dFac. She has a background in data curation, data analysis, and information architecture.  Prior to joining the Provost’s Office in 2013, Damaris was a chemist at RTI International where she helped curate research data on the environmental impact of nanomaterials.  Damaris has a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a M.S. in Information Science from North Carolina Central University.
