The Office of Faculty Relations

The Office of Faculty Relations is dedicated to fostering a supportive and compliant academic environment. We work closely with deans, department chairs, and other academic leaders across the University and School of Medicine to address complex faculty-related concerns, including performance management, misconduct and policy violations. We also advise faculty members on available resources and processes related to misconduct and performance concerns.

We strive to maintain a fair and respectful academic community.

We provide the following services:

  • Conduct Faculty Reference Checks
     
  • Provide guidance on faculty-related policies, procedures, and best practices.
     
  • Address faculty-related concerns, including performance management, misconduct and policy violations.  Support performance management plans when necessary
     
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies and external regulatory requirements impacting faculty employment.
     
  • Assist with the preparation of letters of expectations, letters of reprimand and other review other key faculty communications regarding conduct or performance.
     
  • Design and implement training courses related to performance management.
