How to Apply
Faculty should contact their department chair or dean's office to confirm the proper process for requesting a leave. Once approved within the school, the dFac user should enter the request into dFac, attaching a written request from the Dean.
Tenure Clock
Some non-academic leaves offer the possibility of extending a term appointment, and extending the tenure probationary period, as a consequence of the leave. For more information on the tenure clock, reference the Faculty Procedures Manual and Faculty Handbook.
