Overview of Administrative Appointments

The following administrative titles have been approved by the President and Provost. Administrative appointments, particularly those at the school, institute, center, division, or department level are recorded in dFac. Additionally, the appointments below are reported to the Board of Trustees.

  • Chair
  • Chancellor
  • Chief
  • Dean
  • Director (including Director of Graduate Studies and Director of Undergraduate Studies)
  • President
  • Provost
  • University Secretary
  • University Librarian

Modifiers of "vice", "co-", "executive", "senior", "associate", "assistant", "interim", "deputy", "acting", and similar are also approved to be used in administrative appointment titles.

In dFac, administrative appointments will be coded as "A".
